A Peek Into Heaven

Just one little peek into heaven,
Is all I'm asking for today.
I just want to know how he's doing,
And heaven seems so far away.
Is he playing on the clouds with angels?
Is he laughing and running today?
Does he miss me?
I guess only he knows.
Oh why does heaven seem so far away?
If you just let me look for a moment,
To catch a glimpse of his sweet smiling face,
I promise I won't try to take him,
I know, he's in a better place.
Just one little peek into heaven,

The time has come
To finally let you go.
I know you're gone,
I must move on
To walk this lonely road.
And yet it seems
You're still with me
Each movement that I make -
A guiding light,
Still burning bright
With each step that I take.
I can't forget,
I won't regret
The moments that we shared.
Your gentle face,
The loving ways
That showed how much you cared.
Right from the start,
You touched my heart,
You opened up my eyes.
You helped me see
What I could be,
That I could reach the skies.
Now I still find
You're on my mind,
Though you're so far away.
I know it's wrong,
I can't hold on,
It's time to find my way -
Without your love
To lift me up,
Sometimes it's hard to face.
But in my dreams
You're still with me,
A part I can't erase.
With each new day,
It doesn't fade,
It's lonely with you gone.

Keep haunting me,
And yet I must move on.
Perhaps in time
Someday I'll find
It doesn't hurt so much.
But I know now
Without a doubt,
I won't forget your love

How do we convey
Just how we feel
When we lose someone we love?
How do we explain
The deep, lonely pain
The emptiness left in us?
No words can express
The hurt and anguish
Nor touch on how we feel
God shares our tears
And gives us His love
And He, in time, will heal
The hopes and the dreams
We had just remains
Like an unfinished book of their life
As an incomplete chapter
Remains unfinished
With nothing more to write
But we can know God’s comfort
And know there is hope
With a new chapter to begin
We can hold on to God
For He loves us so much
And fills the void within
As we close one chapter
Another can begin
Though the one we love has gone
Through Christ’s strength in us
And hope in our hearts
We find courage to carry on

The time has come for me to release you
Free to fly high above this world.
Where the flowers forever bloom &
The ultimate love fills the space.
In my attempt to try to keep you
I've only been able to hold the anger
Not realizing that I have to let you go
I can't hold on.
I'll no more keep your pain alive,
I won't try to hold you down.
I'll let you fly on to higher ground.
My grief has left a numbness,
as if this isn't real
You are in my heart forever,
but I know I have to let you be free.
Soar high.
Laugh as a child that feels the joy of the moment.
Play among the rivers flowing through the hills.
Roam the fields of daisies.
Fly to the top of the mountains.
With closed eyes, I see you among the flowers,
High above the clouds.
Your presence blows through me with the breeze.
Your smile beams down on through the sun.
The full moon brings the light of your laughter to my mind.
And the Butterfly in all its splendour reminds me
of your beauty and freedom now.

It may be the last
time spent with you
is like sand in the hour glass
slowly fading away
every minute I touch your face,
every second I hear you laugh
it echoes in my mind, it may be the last
every time you make me smile,
I lock it deeply into my soul
every night I wish upon a star
hoping you’re wishing on mine
for I fear our star is fading,
I am afraid to blink for one minute
fearing you will disappear
I'm afraid to release you from my mind,
it is the reminder of you I have left
If the only way I could be with you forever
is in my dreams,
then I will sleep for eternity
my heart clings to you, not yet realizing,
you're already gone.

Angel in Heaven,
Can you hear me?
Can you see me?
If you can,
Please come and help me.
I need you here
I’m scared
You don’t have to do much,
I just need you to be near.
You don’t have to save me,
Just stay close.
I need your comfort,
I need soothing words.
I want to cry to you,
I want you to save me.
But that’s being selfish,
And I just want you near me.
